Physician's Choice fiber compared: Easy Mix Fiber, Fiber Gummies and Psyllium Husk, by label

The record in brief

Physician's Choice sells fiber in three forms: Easy Mix Fiber, a powder with 6 g of soluble fiber per heaping spoonful (soluble corn fiber and guar fiber); Fiber Gummies, 5 g of fiber per 2 gummies (chicory root fiber); and Psyllium Husk Fiber, 2 g of soluble fiber from 2.6 g of psyllium husk per 5 capsules. MedlinePlus says Americans average about 16 grams of fiber a day.4

The entries, in short

  • Easy Mix Fiber: 6 g of dietary fiber, all soluble, in 1 heaping spoonful (6.7 g), from soluble corn fiber and guar fiber; about 24 servings. [Label]
  • Fiber Gummies: 5 g of dietary fiber per 2 gummies, from chicory root fiber, with total sugars under 1 g and 0 g added sugars; 30 servings. [Label]
  • Psyllium Husk Fiber: 2 g of dietary fiber, all soluble, from 2.6 g of psyllium husk in 5 capsules; 60 servings. [Label]
  • Physician's Choice: "Adults get 25 to 38 grams of fiber per day, though exact targets depend on age and sex." [Maker's wording]
  • This record ranks none of the three and states no effect for any of them. [This record]

Which Physician's Choice fiber is which?

Three labels, three forms. Easy Mix Fiber is a powder measured by the heaping spoonful, Fiber Gummies are chewed two at a time, and Psyllium Husk Fiber is swallowed as capsules, five to a serving. The table gives each panel as printed, one row per product, with the fiber source the label names and the directions where a confirmed entry exists. Empty cells are marked rather than filled from other pages.

"Not entered yet" means the fact base holds no confirmed entry for that line. A separate children's product, Kids Fiber Gummies, exists and is not compared here. Physician's Choice probiotics are compared in PC-REC-003.

What are the ingredients in Physician's Choice fiber?

Each label names its fiber source: soluble corn fiber and guar fiber in Easy Mix Fiber, chicory root fiber in Fiber Gummies, and psyllium husk in Psyllium Husk Fiber. Fiber Gummies list eight more ingredients after chicory root fiber, starting with pectin; what each one does is set out in the fillers record, PC-REC-004. The other two panels' full ingredient lists are not entered here.

The Easy Mix Fiber panel gives one total for its two fibers, so it does not say how much of the 6 g comes from each.1 The Psyllium Husk Fiber panel prints the husk and the fiber on separate lines, 2.6 g and 2 g: the husk is the ingredient, and the 2 g is the part the label counts as dietary fiber.3 The Fiber Gummies panel prints one dietary fiber line, 5 g, and no soluble or insoluble split.2

What kind of fiber is in each one?

Two of the three panels call all their fiber soluble: Easy Mix Fiber (6 g) and Psyllium Husk Fiber (2 g). The Fiber Gummies panel gives a single fiber figure. On FDA's list of added fibers that count as dietary fiber, psyllium husk and pectin appear under those names.6

MedlinePlus sorts fiber into two forms. In its words: "Soluble fiber attracts water and turns to gel during digestion." And: "Insoluble fiber does not dissolve in water."4 Its fiber health topic adds that you may see dietary fiber "listed on a food label as soluble fiber or insoluble fiber."5 Those are general descriptions of fiber, written for food; MedlinePlus did not test any of these three products.

Gut bacteria ferment some fibers, which is where gas comes in. Physician's Choice puts it this way for its own products: "Our 60 Billion Probiotic and Digestive Enzymes contain inulin, and our Fiber Gummies contain chicory root fiber; gut bacteria break down fibers like these, which can cause gas."

Which Physician's Choice fiber fits which need?

On the labels alone, the choice comes down to form and grams. A powder you stir into a drink, a gummy you chew, or capsules you swallow five at a time: 6 g, 5 g or 2 g of fiber per serving. None of the three labels is entered here with a purpose, and this record does not say what any of them does for a symptom or a condition.

Servings per container also differ: about 24 for Easy Mix Fiber, 30 for Fiber Gummies and 60 for Psyllium Husk Fiber. If the question behind the choice is a health one, such as constipation that does not let up, it belongs with a clinician; the table below says when.

How much fiber a day, and how much water?

Physician's Choice gives the daily figure in its own words: "Adults get 25 to 38 grams of fiber per day, though exact targets depend on age and sex." One serving of these labels adds 2 g to 6 g. MedlinePlus puts the average American intake at about 16 grams a day.4

On water, Physician's Choice says: "Drink plenty of water and other liquids when you take a fiber supplement to help keep things moving." NIDDK gives the reason in one line: "Drink plenty of liquids to help the fiber work better."7

On pace, the agencies agree. NIDDK: "Be sure to add fiber to your diet a little at a time so your body gets used to the change."7 MedlinePlus explains why: eating a lot of fiber in a short time "can cause intestinal gas (flatulence), bloating, and abdominal cramps", a problem that "often goes away once the natural bacteria in the digestive system get used to the increase in fiber."4 Its health topic says the same in brief: "Increasing dietary fiber too quickly can lead to gas, bloating, and cramps."5

Prices, reviews, ratings and sales are left out, and so are how soon any product works and what any of them does for a condition. Other sizes and versions of these products are not entered. Where to read each label in full

Physician's Choice makes all three products and publishes this site, so the record lines up the labels and stops there. The Easy Mix Fiber label is on its product page. The Fiber Gummies and Psyllium Husk Fiber panels were read from the label images on their physicianschoice.com product pages on Oct 15, 2026.

Questions about the fiber line

Which Physician's Choice fiber supplement is best?

The record does not rank them; it lines up the labels. Easy Mix Fiber prints the most fiber per serving, 6 g, as a powder; Fiber Gummies print 5 g per 2 gummies; Psyllium Husk Fiber prints 2 g per 5 capsules. Pick the form you will take, and ask a clinician about your own needs.

What is in Physician's Choice Fiber Gummies?

Per 2 gummies, the panel prints 15 calories, 6 g of carbohydrate, 5 g of dietary fiber, total sugars under 1 g with 0 g added sugars, and 5 mg of sodium. The other ingredients start with chicory root fiber and pectin. Adults chew 2 gummies daily, and a bottle holds 30 servings.

Is Easy Mix Fiber soluble or insoluble fiber?

Soluble, by its label. The panel lists 6 g of dietary fiber per heaping spoonful (6.7 g), and all 6 g are soluble fiber, from soluble corn fiber and guar fiber. The container holds about 24 servings. The panel does not say how much of the 6 g each of the two fibers supplies.

How many capsules are in a serving of Physician's Choice Psyllium Husk Fiber?

Five. One serving of 5 capsules holds 2.6 g of psyllium husk and 2 g of dietary fiber, all of it soluble, and the bottle holds 60 servings. This record has no confirmed entry yet for its directions, so read them on the product's own label before you start.

Do you need to drink water with a fiber supplement?

Yes. Physician's Choice says: "Drink plenty of water and other liquids when you take a fiber supplement to help keep things moving." NIDDK's version is "Drink plenty of liquids to help the fiber work better," and it advises adding fiber a little at a time so your body gets used to the change.
